Classes

  • Improv and applied improv workshops and classes - online and in-person!

  • Acting Out! for people of all abilities!

Classes and workshops are usually one class per week, for three to eight weeks. Everything we do obeys this sequence: 1. Safe. 2. Fun. 3. Meaningful.

Spring 2023 classes include:

  • Acting Out! Neuro-diverse theatre making , begins Sunday April 2nd at 2:30 PM in Elkins Park.

  • Ashbourne Improv, longform improv class in Elkins Park, begins Wednesday March 29th at 7:30 PM.

  • Life Play: Improvisation, mindfulness and spirituality, pay-what-you-can workshop in Philadelphia, begins Tuesday April 18th at 7:30 PM

Shows

  • Bright Invention Ensemble. Our main ensemble, these actors not only perform long form improv, but staff all our workshops and teach our classes.

  • Ashbourne Improv. Our newest ensemble featuring our advanced students. Monthly shows at Cheltenham Center for The Arts, 439 Ashbourne Rd, Cheltenham, PA 19012.

  • Acting Out! Ensemble. Our ensemble for all abilities, with special shows at the end of each semester.

  • Improvathon! Let us raise money for your organization or cause - we begin improvising and we don’t stop until the goal is met!

  • Room with a Clue, our interactive, living Clue game! A fun, audience interactive experience!

  • Objects of Affection, our private party form using objects guests bring to celebrate the cause or guest of honor!

  • Site-specific shows! Let us design a show to fit your extraordinary location!

 

Meet the ensemble!

Our ensemble is composed of some of Philadelphia’s finest actor-improvisors. They practice long form improvisation together, perform in our shows, teach our classes, and facilitate our Creative Corporate Training Workshops. And they have a blast doing it!
